Meta (Facebook) Data Deletion

Last updated: September 2026

Tuxon is a customer-communication platform. Businesses use it to answer messages that people send them on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and other channels. This page explains how to have the data Tuxon holds about you deleted when it came from Facebook or Instagram.

Deletion request received. Your confirmation code is:
—
Your request has been processed. Please keep this code for your records — quote it if you contact us.

Option 1 — Remove the app from Facebook (recommended)

This is the fastest way, because Facebook notifies us automatically and we delete your data without you needing to contact anyone.

You can also use our direct deletion link from Meta's confirmation screen, which lands on this page with your code.

Option 2 — Email us

If you would rather not touch your Facebook settings, email support@tuxon.ai with the subject "Data deletion request" and include the Facebook name or profile you used to send the message, and roughly when you sent it. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before deleting anything.

What we delete, and what we keep

When we receive a deletion request we remove the information that identifies you. We keep the conversation record itself in an anonymised form so that a business's reporting and message counts stay accurate — but it can no longer be linked back to you.

We delete We keep (anonymised)
Your Facebook/Instagram identifier (the PSID and any stored aliases) The conversation record: timestamps, status and message counts
Your profile name, photos and any email address stored with your record Message rows, with their content replaced by a deletion notice
The text of every message in the conversation, including attachments and voice-note transcriptions Aggregate usage statistics, which no longer identify any individual
Any AI summary, notes or tags a business saved about you Business billing and accounting records, where the law requires them to be kept
Nothing identifies you afterwards. The identifier we keep is replaced with a random one, so it cannot be matched back to your Facebook account — not even by us. If you message the same business again later, you will start a new, unconnected conversation.

How long it takes

Requests made through Facebook are processed automatically and usually complete within seconds. Requests sent by email are handled within 30 days, as required by data-protection law.

Removing the app while still using the service

Removing the app stops a business from receiving your Facebook messages through Tuxon. That is a Facebook-level action and does not affect your Facebook account itself. If you want your record with the business deleted as well, use one of the options above.
